INDIGO / Artiste solo
Born on the golden hills of Florence, London-based songwriter Indigo brings a chameleonic music style blending indie folk, blues vibes, and electronic sounds. Following two decades of experience as the frontman of several rock, blues and folk bands in Italy, Indigo moved to London, where he began performing in the local musical scene.
The new life in London naturally came with several changes, and as he turned 30, he realised how profoundly his sense of home, family and friendship was evolving. These reflections suddenly catapulted him into a new songwriting spree. From one day to the next, he found himself writing numerous lyrics, building melodies and harmonies, compulsively trying out new ideas on his guitar. After months of constant work in 2023, he began shaping a defined, brand-new set of songs, touching themes such as bewilderment, balancing setbacks and achievements, and planning new beginnings. These songs soon found their way to the recording studio.
In May 2024, he released his debut single Echoes, the first instalment of his new song production. A heart- wrenching reflection on broken kinships, Echoes explores the feelings of someone who no longer recognises his childhood home following a series of family quarrels.
The launch of Echoes anticipates the production of additional tracks that are currently in the works. The release date of the second single "Life on Mars" is soon to be announced.
