Vaein / Solo-artiest
Vaein (he/him) is dark, queer, sweaty, leather-inspired electronic music out of London. Accompanied by thick, throbbing beats and bass, his provocative lyrics are reminiscent of whispers in dark corners of a nightclub.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Vaein has performed across Australia, and the UK, and in 2014 toured Japan to promote his release ‘Babylon’, remixed by the likes of Black Asteroid.
In 2015 he released his debut album Part of Me, and has since released a number of tracks and remixes.
In the age of livestreams through 2020 and 2021, Vaein shared a lineup with electropunk legend Plack Blague, broadcasting a not-very-safe-for-work performance filmed at The Bunker in London.
Earlier this year Vaein was commissioned by the LGBTQIA+ listening service Switchboard to produce and perform a reinterpretation of the queer anthem ‘Relax’ by Frankie Goes To Hollywood to celebrate LGBTQIA+ History Month.
